Suggestion for the processing of design theme
1. Introducing the theme DESIGN
- Before the exchange week the students of the hosting country could find out some information of their own country’s design: the most interesting examples of old classics and the latest brands.
- They could present their studies as a Power Point show in the beginning of the exchange week. That would be an orientation for the theme.
2. Work shop 1: Designing process (the week in Finland)
”Print design and producing an original T-shirt”
- Students could work in small groups of 3 – 4 people.
The steps of the process:
a) Searching inspiration
b) Experimenting different technics
c) Making of the final product
d) Exhibiting the process and final products
3. Work shop 2: Commercial aspects of design (the week in Italy)
- The students could continue their process with their own designed T-shirts.
- Ideas for the work shops: label design, advertisement design, fashion photography (collection pictures), fashion show and ideological and ethical thinking of the product etc.
